Various indicators of pregnancy signs and symptoms

At the early stages of gestation, there are things a woman may notice that can be interpreted as pregnancy signs and symptoms. As the embryo grows, the changes in the body will become more obvious over time. Whenever a woman senses that something unusual is occurring with her body, she should consult her physician.

An indicator of pregnancy is unusually swollen or sore breasts. Shirts and bras may not fit around the chest properly. Since breasts can become swollen right before getting a period, a woman should also look for other signs of pregnancy.

If the female doesn’t get her period for the month or if there is light spotting, it could mean the egg has been fertilized. When a woman becomes pregnant, the menstrual cycle stops. Even though, a woman won’t get her period, she may still feel some cramping. As soon as the fertilized egg attaches to the uterine wall, the uterus begins to expand to accommodate a growing fetus.

Exhaustion and feeling tired more frequently is a common occurrence. The embryo needs blood, nutrients and oxygen in order to develop. All of the nutrients the woman was previously able to use solely for herself are now being divided. The woman will need to rest more and may not have as much energy to be highly active.

Feeling nauseous is a common occurrence during the early stages of gestation. Nausea can occur in the morning or at any time of the day. It is usually temporary and ends after the first trimester. Feeling dizzy and faint is also not unusual. A mixture of being tired and unable to keep any food down can have this effect on the person.

These are only few indicators of conception. Other signs of pregnancy include urinating more than usual, unusual food cravings, and it may become painful to sleep on the stomach. If a woman has concerns about what is occurring in her body, she can take a pregnancy test and set up an appointment with her doctor.
